Peter Maynard has been leading data and analytics teams for over 20 years. His passion is guiding and leading organizations to leverage the power of data, analytics and AI to better serve their customers. As Guardian’s Chief Data and AI Officer, he is driving data and AI strategy and execution for the organization. Prior to Guardian, he was the Equifax’s data and analytics lead for the US Information Services managing Equifax’s data exchanges and building advanced analytic products for financial service clients. Peter also started Equifax’s Data Science Lab, which patented the first regulatory compliant machine learning algorithm in credit scoring. Peter has deep credit and banking experience from his 14-year tenure at Capital One. He led various analytical teams where he delivered models and data solutions support underwriting, marketing, operations, and distribution. Peter’s board service includes Partnership for Inclusive Innovation, The VantageScore, and Credit Builder Alliance. He on the Business Analytics advisory board for the University of Tennessee. Peter has economic degrees from the University of Rhode Island (B.S.) and the University of Tennessee (M.A., PhD.).
