Cathy Doss, Vice President, Enterprise Chief Data Officer, Freddie Mac
Cathy Doss is Enterprise Chief Data Officer for Freddie Mac. She joined the company in August 2023 to lead design and implementation of Freddie Mac’s enterprise data strategy; lead overall data management, governance, and controls of Freddie Mac’s enterprise data assets; ensure alignment across divisions to the enterprise data strategy and policy; build and support enterprise data platform and integration services; and oversee the first-line privacy governance and privacy incident management.
Before Freddie Mac, Cathy was at the Federal Reserve Bank of Richmond, where she was named that organization’s first Chief Data Officer in 2018. From 2014-2018, she was the Multifamily Business Data Officer at Fannie Mae. Earlier senior leadership roles include Chief Client Officer for the Capital One client at Equifax, as well as key positions at Capital One Financial including Managing Vice President Credit Card Portfolio Conversion, Senior Vice President/Chief Data Officer, and Vice President Supply Chain Management.
Cathy has been named to the Global Data Power Women List for 2020-24, and won the 2023 Margaret Lyn McDermid Shatter the Glass Ceiling Award. She holds a seat on the Data Management Association (DAMA) Richmond, Va. chapter Board, as well as being Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU) Foundation Board Chair and Audit Committee Member.
