Alissa Schneider is an industry-recognized Data, Analytics, & AI Leader with a covetable blend of management consulting plus corporate experience. Alissa is currently the Executive Director of Enterprise Data & Insights at Sinclair, Inc., the most senior data role at Sinclair, reporting directly to the CIO.
With nearly two decades of experience in all aspects of data, technology, and program management, Alissa has led teams of all types and sizes to deliver innovative solutions on enterprise-level, multimillion-dollar, transformative initiatives that revolutionize business and data capabilities. She is often described by her colleagues and team members as the “best leader I’ve ever had”, “a rockstar”, and “an A team player”.
In addition to program delivery, Alissa has established and run organizational frameworks including Enterprise Data Governance, Centers of Excellence for Program/Project Management and Data Governance, and a “Consulting Excellence” Quality Assurance Program ensuring delivery excellence across an entire consulting firm’s portfolio. Alissa excels at presenting complex information in accessible, business friendly terms that serves to drive the business and culture forward. Alissa is a LinkedIn “Top Data Governance Voice” – top 2% as of August 2024. Alissa started her career as a technologist, mastering analytics and data integration tools. She spent her early career years as a data modeler and solutions architect, responsible for designing and building enterprise data warehouses, reports, and dashboards and eventually entire enterprise technology solutions using applications such as Salesforce and other major ERP systems. As the data industry has matured, Alissa became heavily involved in the Data Governance and Master Data Management areas and is recognized as a thought leader, presenting publicly at conferences and to local DAMA (Data Management Association) user groups.
Having spent nearly 15 years in consulting, Alissa had the opportunity to work directly with over 20 clients in diverse industries and serve in a variety of delivery and leadership roles. She greatly values the time she spent working in consulting as she experienced first-hand the power of building healthy teams. She has a deep appreciation for and ability to leverage methodologies and project/program management best practices to ensure successful outcomes, proven by never having a failed project on her watch. She credits her ability to connect easily with people and her success in the Data Governance space because she studied classical voice and stage management in college where she learned how to truly listen and how to orchestrate people.
Alissa resides in the Dallas-Fort Worth, TX area. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her classical pianist husband, Michael, and their three kids. Her eldest daughter, Clara, was accepted into the prestigious Interlochen Arts Academy to study Acting as a 9th grader and will be attending for the first time in the fall of 2024. It’s a busy, wonderful life!
