Basia Sall, Director of the Data, Information Management, and Enterprise Governance (DIME) Division within the Office of the Chief Information Officer (OCIO), Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC)

Ms. Basia Sall is the Director of the Data, Information Management, and Enterprise Governance (DIME) Division within the Office of the Chief Information Officer (OCIO) at the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC). In this role, she also serves as the NRC’s Chief Data Officer and leads the agency’s strategic initiatives in Artificial Intelligence.

Since joining the NRC in 2007 as a Senior IT Specialist in the Office of the Chief Financial Officer (OCFO), Ms. Sall has consistently demonstrated exceptional leadership, advancing through increasingly influential roles. She has successfully managed the NRC Leadership Development Program in the Office of the Chief Human Capital Officer (OCHCO) and later served as Branch Chief for the Service Fulfillment and Delivery Branch in OCIO. Most recently, she excelled as Deputy Director of the IT Service Delivery and Operations Division in OCIO, where her remarkable contributions were recognized with the NRC’s prestigious Meritorious Service Award in 2022.

Prior to her tenure at NRC, Ms. Sall spent seven years with the U.S. Peace Corps, where she held key leadership positions, including Chief Administrative Officer for the OCIO, and served in both Senegal and Mali, West Africa.

A distinguished graduate of NRC’s 2023 Senior Executive Service Candidate Development Program, Ms. Sall further honed her expertise through a rotational assignment with USAID as Chief Data Officer. She holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Information Systems and Operations Management from The University of Toledo and a Master of Education in Computer Science Education from Temple University.
