Steve Bartos, Senior Director, Corporate Data & Analytics, Worthington Steel
Steve is currently the Senior Director of Corporate Data & Analytics at The Worthington Steel Company, headquartered in Columbus, Ohio. In this role, he is responsible for driving impactful analytics across the enterprise through strong collaboration, transformative project work, and a strategic focus on enablement and empowerment.
Steve joined Worthington Industries 10 years ago as an Advanced Analytics Analyst in the Steel Division, where he was tasked with expanding the use of data and analytics across the enterprise. He later moved to a managerial role on the Steel Analytics Team and eventually succeeded Worthington Steel’s current CIO Bill Wertz as the second leader of the Corporate Data & Analytics Team.
Prior to joining Worthington, Steve was a high school mathematics and physics teacher in Portage, IN for 13 years after graduating from Purdue University. He later earned his PhD in Science Education from the Illinois Institute of Technology in Chicago, Illinois, and subsequently joined the faculty of Middle Tennessee State University, where he taught in both the undergraduate and doctoral programs.
